There needs to be plenty of keys on the overlay keyboard that can be easily labeled. The labels need to be easily changed as the function of the keys change. It is also desirable if the keys can be color coded for easy location.

Easy to program

The overlay keyboard need to be easy to program. The commands should be simple and intuitive. Up loading the program into the keyboard should be quick and simple.

Sturdy

Like all equipment that is in an industrial setting an overlay key needs to be sturdy. The keyboard needs to be made of metal to withstand heat, cold, dirty fingers and any other conditions the work place my present.
